Veteran Posts: 284	Yesterday, my husband bought a salt block with sulfur for the horses, telling me it would help with fly control. I've never heard of it being made available to horses. Is this safe?

Roan Wonder Location: SW MO	We've fed them to our horses in the summer for years. They are supposed to help with ticks. Unless it is really rainy though we feed loose salt & mineral. Because eating on the blocks wear their teeth.

Expert Posts: 2159 Location: NW. Florida	I give one during the summer months too. Living in Florida I have bahia seed heads up around their ears, it seems to help with ticks.
