Location: North of where I want to be | I have a Tundra with the 5.7. It goes down the road with a bumper pull no issue whats o ever. I wanted to know if anyone pulls a goose neck with one? I want a small weekender and so many of them are now being built so light I would think it would be ok. I wanted to know if anyone has any experience with them. |

Location: Southeast Louisiana | I have no personal experience with them, but I know a few people who pull a gooseneck with one and I have seen several of them. Seems to work just fine. If you're buying a trailer to go with your truck, just pay attention to the truck's gvwr and don't overload it. |

| I have pulled a sundowner 2 horse gooseneck with 6 ft living quarters loaded 75 mph with no problem. Love my Tundra!! They all sit on a 3/4 ton frame so technically they are like a 3/4 ton pickup. |

That. That is very important. Not for the go forward part. For the stopping part - for the looking away for 2 seconds and then suddenly seeing brakes lights and having to stomp on them part.
Understand the GVWR, the pin/hitch rating, and take it to the scales loaded to make sure you are within range on both.
Some of the trailers I see pulled with half tons make me terrified for the horses on board and I make a mental note to not drive in front of them. |

Things happen so fast, and even big pickups can't stop under loads equivalent to their size.
Get something bigger so that you and passengers will be safer, not to mention your trailer, and your precious horses a better chance at not being hamburger streaked down the pavement.

Location: Arkansas | We did for a little while. Pulled a 4 horse LQ with it and did fine. However, after reading and learning from posts on here, I realize that just because we could pull it didn't mean we could stop it. We just flat didn't know any better about how important the stopping part was. As I type that I am embarrassed by how stupid I sound. . . .
Good Lord willing, I don't see us ever getting rid of our dually as far as what we choose to haul with now. I still have and LOVE my Tundra, but we won't be hauling our horses with it again like that. |
