Location: Stephenville, Texas | My friend us trying to fatten a older horse up bit it still has hollow flanks. She's starting alfalfa cubes, coastal, platinum performance and some kind of senior feed I'm not sure which brand. She had his teeth done too. I'm not sure what else to suggest. |

| My trainer has an old broodmare with a foal on her right now and I am going to take her some Platinum tomorrow to help fatten her up. This feeding plan sounds good to me. Just make sure the horse is gettting ENOUGH feed. Also, feeding three times a day might help. Same amount of feed just split in three feedings instead of two. |

| You might try to run a 1month treatment of Rebalance through her. Anytime I get a thin horse I run a months treatment through them and treat with ulcers. |

| How long have you had her?
How long have you had her on the current feeding regimen?
We've had excellent results with the Platinum. If her teeth are UTD and she's been wormed, give her a couple weeks if she is just starting the new feeding regimen.
If you don't see results I recommend looking into ulcer treatment. |

Location: The Great Northwest | Hollow/tucked up in the flanks is a good indication this horse may have ulcers. This horse probably doesn't eat much at a time and just doesn't eat enough and ulcers is the reason. |
