| You could do gymkhana shows where there's a bunch of diff. speed events? Mounted shooting, mounted archery, or endurance competitions? Hope that helps =] |

| I second the gymkhana option! They're also known as o-mok-sees in other parts of the country (such as mine). They're a great way to keep your horse interested and listening because of all the different patterns. I also really love team penning/sorting to do something other than speed events. |

| competetive trail class they are the bomb really gets a horse interested different and it a hell of a lot more fun doing something outside and riding
i can/t rode anymore but i would not do horses shoes anymore the expense the time there to run14 seconds and i like riding
trail is really neat |

| How does everyone find out about the other types of events?
The barrel races just kind of fall into my lap with NBHA schedules posted all over and endless events on FB, but I have never found trail, team penning, etc. events on FB and I don't know of anyone in the area who are involved in them... |

Location: Ohio girl moved to PA | I love taking my boys around cows when we get bored. Something just sparks their minds when they see other animals. Also, we love to just take off and go camp and trail ride all weekend, especially when we can swim! really clears their minds. |
