Trailer is as level as we can get it in our driveway, which is pretty close but a little nose high.

Trailer is plugged in, fridge light indicates it's on. Not getting cold. Tried gas last night, same result.

Thoughts?

My ex used to manage a big RV service center.  He said the usual reason for the fridge to not work is a plugged up vent (in our area, dirt dobbers).

Turn it on, put on gas, and take it for a drive. Sometimes first few times out the coolant gets a bubble. Trip down the road will get it loose.

The roof vent is the one you need to check. Is the back of the frig getting hot? It should. But vent needs to be open.

Ding ding ding!

Or so I assume as after the drive it's getting cold now.

BHW for the win. Hubby was skeptical, I told him I saw it on BHW it had to be true

just be careful driving down the road with the fridge lit on gas - there have been explosions, caused by the pilot light going out (possibly wind blowing it out) & the auto light trying to light it again ... and build up of gas. Get it good & cold before you leave, and a bag of ice in the freezer will keep everything cold too, even on a long drive, & light or plug in as soon as you are done driving.

Several suggestions for the future. I would not necessarily drive down the road with the ref on but they do not have pilot lights unless the trailer is over twenty years old. They are piezoelectric. Buy the little screens for EVERY vent you have (will be on the side of the trailer). Cheap and keep out dirt dobbers. Keep your trailer plugged in all the time with refrigerator running. My trainer never turns hers off we go every where with that thing on. We always have cold food and drinks!

Ya, once we start using it it stays plugged all the time. This is the first time we've had it out this year.

I froze about 2 dozen water bottles and we let it get cold overnight then stuffed all those in there and shut it off to go down the road, put the perishables in my in laws yeti (it's just a little fridge, not big enough for 2 people over 3 days who like to drink beer!). Then once we got here we had plenty of cold water and a cold fridge.

Is yours running on LP when you go down the road? I'm scared to do that. I thought when Lisa's trailer caught fire (I think it was hers) they suspected the fridge
