EPM Supportive Supplements

Have a horse that we suspect MIGHT have EPM. Has some hind end weakness but not bad. Treating with Toltrazuril/DMSO for 30 days and then will reevaluate. I am trying to decide if it is worth the expense to put him on some type of supportive supplement. I am considering T.H.E. EPM Formula $2.13/day, Silverlining Herbs Brain & Nerve $1.15/day + Immune $.97/day = $2.12/day, Curost EQ Plus $2.60/day + EQ Immune $3.31/day = $5.91/day
(Curost may be too cost prohibitive!
). Anyone have experience with any of these products
specifically
for EPM? Or recommendations for any other products? Or is a supplement not necessary? Thanks for any feedback.

Have you checked out In-Sync4 by MVP? It is great for Immune Support & Muscle Function. PM me if you have any questions. I can also provide you with an introductory offer.

My horse had EPM back in Oct. 2014. The EPM only effected his face....left side muscle atrophy. I treated 10 weeks with Marquis and after treatment kept him on the Vitamin E and also added Silver Lining Brain & Nerve and also the Immune Support. I have had no issues since treatment and muscle atrophy got a little better.

A supplement containing microlactin which is a natural anti-inflammatory
(I think a brand name is duralactin?
). Also there is a joint supplement containing microlactin so you get double bang for your buck there. Definitely a high power vitamin E supplement.

Currently treating with Rebalance. Per vet we added vitamin E and Selenium.
Not to jack thread but I have a few questions:
How do you administer meds ie top feed or fight your horse turned giraffe after 2 weeks of tasting that bitter crap?
Did you test before starting treatment? After?

I treat with Rebalance and supplement with Alcar from animal Element. They are both VERY cost effective and I've seen positive results more than once. I will also feed lysine to help build damaged muscle back.

EPM THE Formula is $1.87 through me this month for a 30 scoop bag and $1.75 for an 80 scoop bag

I treated my mare with Pathogenes Origin and now feed Animal Element Detox. She looks and feels awesome.
