IRunOnFaith - 2017-07-05 9:00 AM Okay guys.

Meet Bowzer. (Picture taken at Foster Home

He is a Mini Schnauzer and Basset Hound cross. He's about 25-30 pounds and is almost 2 years old. He will be growing out of the puppy stage soon.

My little one is so excited. We went over to see how they both would do with each other and he crawled into her lap, licked her face and laid down in her lap with his tail wagging.

Here is a link for info on this particular cross breed. ETA: we pick up this afternoon!

Awww I love that furry face , he looks like a happy little fella, I want to see pictures of the two together

His foster home picked it out. Lol I don't know if we will change it or not but my little one can say it pretty easily so I think he's stuck with it lol

jake16 - 2017-07-09 8:11 PM So how is Bowzer settling in??I just love his name!!!
He is great!
He is VERY attached to my husband tho which is super funny considering I had to beg my Husband to get him on board with getting a small dog for my little one. My husband started calling him Mopar because he sat for hours watching my husband work on his truck. Thought that was funny. He also calls him a spark plug when they play together LOL

Little one is still very scared when Bowser jumps on her bed at night. Starts crying and trying to get away from him, but will get down in the floor and play for a little while before bed as long as it's on her terms. I think she is still scared of certain situations but she's coming around to him. I have told her that if he does anything to scare her she shouldn't try and hit him, she should say: "No Bowser. Get down." She's learning how to make him mind. He's a very sweet dog and he listens well.

He's been going to work with me and sleeping in the bathroom at home because our fence is not set up for smaller dogs. Hog paneling as fence was a good idea until we got a small dog. So we are looking at different fencing options for our budget. Until the he is stuck with me in the AC'd office. Bummer I know.

He has some seperation anxiety when he can't see me, my husband, or our little one and will bark and howl. Which isn't great in the office with the phones ringing.  He will shake when he meets new people as well. But after he knows that new people mean new belly rubs he's all for it and yelps for people to pet him.

Other than that he is doing great. He's a great fit for our family.
