Not at all. Only had a 7" gullet and pretty streight bars. Pro racer made my wider backed mutton withered mare sore. You need a pro max or maxed out.

I got the Maxed out for my mutton mares. Sent pics to Charon and that was her choice for them. Been using for over a year with no issues, super ride.

You may want to look into the Maxxed out XL for a mutton withered too. My neighbor has this and it fits great on her tank of a guy

) all the way to a tall SHARK FIN
( High Withers
) look. Everything inbetween.lol THats why there is a bazillion saddles and trees out there. LOL Have you seen a sheep up close???LOL Next time you are able take a look at their withers. lol

Hence the name "Mutton Bustin'" for the little ones when they ride sheep.
Pro Racer will not fit a mutton withered horse. It will be too tight.
