Elite Veteran Posts: 863	So for those that have been using Lasix for years, how do you figure out exactly WHEN to dose it? I won't be doing it in the vein, as I'm not qualified to, so definetly going IM. I know I need to toy with the dosage and how many hours out, but what seems to be the general time frame at let's say 4ccs? I have a mild bleeder. Also going to be giving Equipulmin to help with airways and I just bought some Flair strips. Do you give it in the chest muscles too? I hate the thought of no hay for 3-4 hours as well. I'm struggling wanting to try this out this weekend. Any great advice? Thanks!

Shelter Dog Lover Posts: 10277	It depends on the horse, I give mine IM 2 1/2 hours out -3 cc's. I also try to get an early number so easier to judge when you think you will be running.

I don't see point in using less then 3cc. I use 5cc on a humid day.
