This may be a shot in the dark but I figured I'd try here... I've looked everywhere with no luck. Does anybody have the info on the square exercises around the barrels? Even a video would be helpful to ensure it is done correctly or just specific instructions. Thanks!

I saw that article but it is only part of it not all. When you click to download, it says broken link and can't load

Sharon Camarillo taught square exercises, maybe she has something in her videos or in her book.

She copied parts of her exercise from Connie.
Connie's is the best..

I would be interested in seeing a video as well. I am such a visual person that reading what to do doesn't always stick with me when I go to try it.

Go to Youtube and search Connie Combs clinic. There's some from Aberdeen, SD that's at my friends place.

I've been to several of Connie's clinics over the years
(Six I think,lol
). Here's an older video of me working squares on my husband's heading horse. The basic concept is to stop your horse on the backside of the barrel
(you are between the barrel and the fence on every barrel
). Make sure your horse is stopping square and will stand still. Your leg should be about even with the barrel. Ride forward 1 or 2 steps and exaggerate turning the shoulders leaving the barrel. Squares work wonders on a multitude of problems.
