Location: Arkansas | So I finally broke down and took my horse to Teskeys to get fitted for a saddle; after three hours we finally found the one! I didn't want to buy one brand new so I've been searching non-stop since to find a used one without much luck. Ive posted in facebook groups and looked online at every tack store I could think of. Where do you guys look for used saddles??? |

Where do you guys look for used saddles??? Craigslist for all areas, some sellers on CL are willing to ship.
NRS Decatur used to put used saddles up on their site, too, but not as many as Teskeys.
Pawn shops - I know a lot are overpriced but I stopped by a shop in town one time, and they came out to talk to me and checking to see what the best price they could do - there were 2 barrel racing saddles that time I stopped.
Search as many tack store/saddle shop sites as you can, because many list used saddles on their site that they may buy or take in on trade. I wish I knew off the top of my head some that I've come across, but I don't remember them. I've stumble across them, before, by chance and ended up buying a saddle from them. I see you have done this, but keep it up - I sent you a PM.

| Put an ISO ad out on Facebook.
That being said - make sure you know what year the crown c you tried was and try to get the same year.
I wish I had taken better pictures, but one night we tried 3 double j pozzi's with standard trees on the same horse and they all fit different, so we started measuring. 3 different years, and all 3 measured differently and honestly, you could see the different flare in the bars up front. It was an eye opening experience. That being said, I've bought online and had good experiences. If I had a hard to fit horse I'd be nervous though. Plus Martin made changes to the seat in 2015 I think on the crown c's |

I think I read that somewhere that the seat changed a bit; The saddles we fit to him were "new" so they should be from the last year or so; I'm about to just break down and beg my husband for a new one! lol I don't need anything fancy; I just want it to fit my horse!! |

Location: The best kept secret in TX | Teskey's has layaway on anything over $100. Pay 20% down and pay it off in 3 months. If you don't pay it off in three months they're good about calling you and seeing if you want your money back or more time. |

Goodness I wish I could pay off a new saddle in that time lol I about have the hubby convinced I need a new saddle! I am out of commission and getting depressed that I can't ride!!! I've got to find something soon! They were wonderful at teskeys and if I buy new, wil most likely use them |

| Did you have to shim the 7.5? I have some big shoulder/back horses and I have a 7" (2013) no shim fits great. I just don't buy into all that shimming |

I was just about to post this too. Huge selection of used saddles and Stacy is a dream to work with. |
