Location: Texas | This is the only foal we were expecting in 2017 and I think she's perfect! I just wish we had a playmate for her... but I'm sure no one would agree to buying something else when our plans are to downsize and we're finally down to a good number again :P .
She's by Triple Vodka out of a daughter of Reckless Dash who filled my WPRA permit and won a couple PRCA rodeos and placed at a few more.

Location: Texas | Thanks!! I'm pretty sure she got her hip from her mamma. I'm not sure we will get any more foals out of her so I'm glad she's given us two fillies! |

Location: Texas | This is her dam. She is one of the prettiest mares we have. Her personality is a little quirky, but I think this filly of hers got her dad's!! Her first baby definitely got hers... hahaha
I am so heart broken she's retired now. I hate seeing her limp every day :(.

She blew out her knee recovering from anesthesia during a pretty routine head CT. She had a bad sinus infection that wasn't responding to antibiotics and we suspected she had a fractured tooth. It was so gross and awful what was coming out of her nose we didn't want to wait until after she foaled to try and fix it because it would clear a room with the stink. It should have been no big deal but for some reason she didn't respond normally to the anesthesia and woke up too soon... then it took them a long time for her to recover from anesthesia once the procedure was finished and she struggled a lot. She must have hyper flexed her knee and fell on it because she got what we call a "nutcracker fracture" and she just smashed the back side of her carpal bones. I was too scared to put her under anesthesia again to then follow up with a CT of her knee in fear she would REALLY break her leg, and the surgeons agreed to wait until she foaled to do anything about her knee... well, by then theres been so much arthritis theres nothing they can do other than fuse it probably. |

That's horrible, I'm so sorry. My mare's mother was having a routine dental done about 3 years ago and ended up flipping over and breaking her leg. We didn't own her but it just broke my heart--she and Two (my mare) were the spitting imagine if each other. And wouldn't you know the next time Two was due for her teeth, she acted up and simply would not go in the stocks----I called the session, even tho it made my vet mad. He kept saying he could make her do it; I politely told him no thanks, we shall try this a different day. And probably with a different individual doing the procedure. . . . One of my closest friends has always told me that even in a round, padded room and wrapped in bubble wrap, our ponies can and will find ways to get hurt. I hope your girl isn't in too much pain; she sure produces pretty babies. |

Location: Texas | Thankfully I have the ability to inject her knee at cost as often as she needs it, so that helps... one of the perks of being a vet. ugh. |
