| Did anyone watch last week's episode on the different types of broke horses? I'm particularly interested in the first filly she rode and described as "fancy broke"
I was not able to sit and watch full attention so I didn't notice when she was riding her but at the end in summarizing I could've sworn she said filly only had one eye, Bullseye I think she called her. Can anyone verify this? I REALLY would love to hear this horses history/training and such. I have a beautiful Coronado Cartel yearling filly with one eye. I want to do the best I can to help her have a future. Thanks! |

| I saw it, great episode. I do not remember her saying anything specific about training a horse with one eye. We owned one that lost his sight in one eye and after he adjusted he was back at the top of his game. His first barrel was his blind eye but he never took an extra step, right to his spot every time. I don't consider it a performance issue at all, I think they learn to adjust on their own, especially a yearling. |

I thought I heard her say it at end. Maybe my hearing is failing LOL. My filly lost her right eye at 5 days old so she's completely adjusted but I know training her will be a little different. I handle her everyday but I need advice/help when it comes to actually working her in roundpen etc. I don't see it as a performance issue per say but more finding the right job for her. I'm partner's with someone and they want to race her. I don't think that's the right path for her particularly since she hurt her leg and while it's healing and she should be sound she will not be ready to break in November so she can run as 2 yr old(I hate racing for that reason, too young)

I thought I heard her say that also actually. |

| I did heard her say the horse only had one eye, I meant I do not remember her giving specific training tips for the mare because of that. |

| She did mention that the mare was one eyed - but nothing special was mentioned about her training. I don't see why training one with 1 eye would be a problem. You might have to change your angles slightly in the round pen, but just pay attention to what the horse tells you it needs. I have run a 1 eyed horse with no issues. |

Location: Texas | Yes that mare is blind in one eye. She was born that way. To the best of my knowledge Jo has had her since she was born and has done all of the training. I don't remember how old she is but I think she is either 3 or 4. |

| Thank you. She didn't talk about her training but I'm interested in learning more about her methods and if she used a colt starter etc. |
