Location: Texas | I hate to show everyone how computer stupid I really am, BUT here goes. I always had Microsoft Office and did any letter writing that I need to do at work. Since I don't write many (none) real letters, I don't think that my home computer has any type of word processing program. Can that be right? I have a HP laptop that I have had for several years but I swear I cannot find anything that does word processing. There is an Microsoft Office tab, but it is asking me if I want to buy it, which I don't.
Suggestions anyone? Cheap program that you like? (grinding my teeth) |

And will even open most of those documents. Google, and check ratings! Without knowing which version of Windows your laptop has, it would be hard for me to guess which would work best. OpenOffice, WPS, Libre to name a few. |

| Yeah, Microsoft quit including it on computers at some point over the years...
If you work for a larger corp or know someone who does you can see if they have a work perks program. I got Office 2013 for my home computer for like $5. And could purchase for up to 10 computers for the same amount, I know I got it for my parents and sister.
I've also used some of the free ones. |

If Google is infected then I am probably already screwed. Google Docs worked great. |
