My 2 year old had a bad reaction to a wormer and all his hair fell out :,
( really wanting to help his tail grow back.

Honestly if the horse isn't meant to grow a long, lucious mane and tail they aren't going to no matter what you feed them.
With that being said, I have found that overall good nutrition will help the growth nature has limited them too. My one gelding has never had more then a puff of hair for forelock and if his mane is 6 inches long that is really good for him. Mind you I have never been one to keep tails and manes braided and bagged. I'm sure that helps out some too.

Purina gave my trainer several different feeds to try. One was IMPACT PERFORMANCE. She said that her horse's mane has grown like crazy. I do not know if this feed is in feed stores yet because I tried to buy some and they did not have it yet. Her horse's mane has grown about 4 inches since the beginning of May.
