I have said it over and over that you need to accurately estimate your horses weight and DO NOT UNDERDOSE the wormer given. If they spit any out, give them more. I give 20% more than the highest possible weight of any of my animals. Weight tapes are not very accurate if you don't know where to put the tape. Any horse that is 15 hands and in good flesh is going to weigh at least 1200#. I worm for 1500#.
Not really on the 15 hands weighing that. I have a broodmare that was in very good condition according to anyone, she is 15.1 and 1160 #. I was as surprised as you. I thought my huge show horse that also has very good bone
(not your typical hunter
) and big feet would be close to 1350# even thinner as we were dealing with health issues. He was 1260 there abouts. Moral of the story is regardless of what you think your horse weighs, the only accurate way to know is a scale. But I agree with over dosing slightly on wormer. We generally dose 1250 on all adults. Weanlings I let the vet guess although I do give it myself.
