I have a gelding that we have suspect to be a bleeder, I’m going next month to talk to the vet, and he’s sitting right now.
Our biggest issue is inconsistent performance.
He can go from being the top of the 1D at 400+ entries to 3D, either loosing his fire or just running off. I have never had this issue before, and after some research he gets a dry cough during workouts, and he gets lethargic after work, so that’s why I’m leaning this direction.
I know they “scope” there airways after exercise and that lasix is the most affective treatment of this is the issue, but who has expericnace in the department?
What kinda test did you vet run?
What kinda signs was your horse giving you?
What worked best for treatment/management?

You can do a search on here and find many theads discussing  bleeding.   Yes, he needs to be scoped and preferably as close to after a run as possible. There are other conditions such as nasalpharyngeal cicatrix that have a cough and similar symptoms. If he is a bleeder I found lasix to be the most effective  treatment, your vet can tell you how to  use it.   You need to get him scoped asap. Good luck
