I just bought a palomino and he has a beautiful long white mane and tail. The mane is like cotton. what products would anyone recommend to keep it nice and what do I use to "comb" thru it. I was thinking Show Sheen. None of my other horses have had a mane like this and I don't want to ruin it.

I have a pally with an extremely thick mane and tail and i use coconut oil! i try to wash/condition it once a week if possible just so it doesnt get stained and i used the purple shampoo. i think its called quick silver? in the winter i keep it up so he doesnt ruin it. I also use the round mane brush made by oster and its helped a ton!

I found Manely Long Hair Polisher that I saw on some horse show. I am so lazy and have trouble with my hands. My horse as a super long and THICK mane and tail. A comb basically gets all caught up in it and flies out of my hands. I take the braids out of her mane, pour the Polisher on top of the mane and just use my fingers to comb through. It's AMAZING and easy on my hands! I get a bunch of compliments on her mane and tail and people think its a ton of work. Nope, just braid, polish and go! Try it you will love it!
