I would like to know about your favorite juicers and food processors. My husband has Ulcerstive colitis and I want to get something to make food preparation faster and easier.

I take care of my grandmother, her issue is not the same. She has trouble swallowing, so I use the Ninja food processor and love it!!! My son bought me the Ninja blender for mothers day, same thing, LOVE it!! So if I was to buy a juicer I would probably stick with the Ninja brand, but I haven't ever used one. I don't even know if they make the juicer. lol

While I love my food processor I think you need something like a Vitamix. Pricey but worth it. It makes hot soups and frozen smoothies. Other things too. I have one. Juicers are a royal pain to clean and the pulp that you throw away contains a lot of nutrition.

Does Vitamix make zucchini spaghetti? He loves zucchini but he can’t alphabetical any pasta/bread so he wants to try zucchini spaghetti.

The Vitamix does not make zucchini spaghetti. The Kitchenaide mixer has a spiralizer that does. It fits any kitchenaide mixer. Mine is 40 years old. I never take it off my mixer. I like potato salad and it also peels in the blink of an eye. WONDERFUL. Kitchenaide has come out with a new smaller version. I like my regular size one. It is not the big one.

The Kitchenaid spiralizer is great, because it also peels and slices with various attachments. It's really easy to clean, and there is nothing handheld, so it works well for people with carpal tunnel, arthritis, etc. Plus most everything just falls into the mixing bowl.

I definitely second the Vitamix or a food processor like that, you lose a lot of nutritional value with the leftover pulp, and although some people have found ways to use it, it ends up being a lot of waste.

Love my Vitamix but that spiralizer is pretty neat too. Great for salads and peeling too.
