Location: Frozen Tundra, WI | Has anyone ever used Equicalm paste? Wondering if the results are worth the cost. Not looking for a miracle, just something to help him focus and not worry as much. It also is supposed to be good for their stomach. From their website: "sugar-free, amino acid formula that is specifically designed to reduce adrenaline, increase endorphins and protect the horse's sensitive stomach." http://www.ehi-us.com/equi-calm-1.html

| It looks like the same ingredients as every other calming paste on the market.
I've had the best luck with Calmex-V paste by MVP. It contains Valerian Root, which I think is what really helps my horse. I've feed the powdered form to my husbands gelding and he has really come around, just handling him. I had tried everything.....Pozzi Relax, In The Zone....etc, etc. |

Not to hijack, BUT I’m glad to hear this because I just bought calmex. The Pozzi Relax did nothing, the ITZ helps some... but I feel like he needs more. Glad to see it has good reviews!! It’s affordable too! |

Location: Ohio girl moved to PA | i never tried the equicalm but i had reallyyyy good results with the forerunner and the In the Zone paste. It helped them focus sooo much. They were completely different horses. I found it works best right at the 2 hour mark. I also really like the OE Nitro for ones that need to focus but also need that little extra go. Really made him fire harder. |

Location: Illinois | MVP Calmex-V would be my first choice. I used it when my 2 year old was on strict stall rest, keep him from acting goofy in a confined space for a few months and when he went out again he didn't act a fool. The Gastro-Plex paste has also shown to take the edge off of a lot of horses and protect their gut for ulcers. It's $10.45 a tube, there's 2 doses per tube and right now through United Vet Equine if you buy 4 tubes you get a 5th free, so it's very cost effective. The Calmex-V is $6.65 a dose and buy 3 get 1 free right now too |

Location: Frozen Tundra, WI | Thank you! I decided to stick with my tried & true THE products. :-) Really like the calming cookies. A friend had a bunch she was selling really cheap so I was interested but after doing some research, decided it wasn't worth trying. |
