Location: DUMPING CATS AND PIGS IN TEXAS :) | Do they drug check winners of races whose money counts as NFR earnings? Can qualifiers dope until NFR, also if so what drugs are tested for in winners, what drugs are ok at NFR standards? I heard Sherri Cervi talking about Stingray and her blood draws and it got me to thinking. Can someone dope their horses until NFR, then give substandard performance at NFR because horses aren't on their usual regime?

| All rodeos can test. Very few do. Cheyenne does. Just like with the race track though, they have to test for specific things that they know about, otherwise it falls under the radar. I donβt know the actual WPRA policy though. You could go to their website to see it though. |

| Β Not all horses run great in all arenas, that is what is happening to Tiany, the ground, the crowd all plays in it how hard a horse will fire. If you have one that likes the T&M you are golden, if not it can be a long 10 days. Β As they get used to it they may start clocking in the later rounds.Β

| AQHA tested at the world show. The horse tested did not win first. Just a random test. |

| I think Calgary stampede does a random draw for testing |

| I once knew a horse that was #2 going into the NFR but HATED that pen, he would go down the fence almost every time... He just hated it... GOod thing is, she has a trailer full of talented winners so the horse that got her there, didn't have to run there// |

| Just for the record. AQHA, APHA have a list of drugs that they consider legal and are OK. I am sure that other breed registries have a list also but I have only dealt with AQHA and APHA. Start looking for patches at the NFR. I am sure there are some people out of the qualifiers that use them. (in all events). They are pretty easy to see. |

I thought I read that Sherry Cervi made a statement about Stingray getting blood drawn a few years back? |
