Location: NC | Currently feeding blue seal sentinel performance and senior. For some reason tractor supply has not been able to keep it in stock. What other feed is safe? I know i can get tribute local and any other thing from Tractor supply. They did wonderful on sentinel but trying to find it is driving me crazy |

Do you know what's in Renew Gold that's supposed to help ulcer prone horses? I've been debation on trying this as well...but can a person add this to your base feed? I feed Ultium now and looking for something to help keep tummy happy. |

LOVE Renew Gold, on another thread Win said it had glutamine in it which helps prevents ulcers. RG is designed to promote good gut health, it is limited ingredients and each ingredient serves a purpose, there are no fillers. I have not fed a processed grain in years. I quit when my gelding refused his grain because of ulcers. I thought why continue to feed something that aggregates his stomach. Most feeds, even the better ones have unnecessary fillers and junk that the horses body has to “deal with”. |

Thanks for this info! I hate the thought of feeding 5 different supplements to get good gut health, ulcer prevent and etc |

You don’t have to do that with RG!! Mine used to be on omeprazole, Prozac twice a month, ran on ace.... he was a NIGHTMARE. He would start grinding his teeth the minute you got one him. The RG has amazed me!!! No Prozac shots, no ace.... he’s a different animal. He made me a believer! He was my guinea pig |

| Curost supplements (total)&(stomach) eqwell vitamin n& minerals over whole oats and alfalfa pellets- I know there are tons of articles out there about not feeding oats to ulcery horses- but I took dr Schell s advice from curost and he has tons of research on his page if you are interested in looking into it- I’ve fed several different feeds including Renee gold( which I did like)- but I always felt with ulcers and other inflammation issues until I made the switch now 4-5 months into dr Schell s feed program all three of my boys just keep getting better and better and better- it has to be whole oats no other kind because the horse processes the oat Hull in the stomach and the rest is pooped out so the starch isn’t broke down like it is with crimped or rolled Etc - sounds crazy but I am a believer! Plus I haven’t been back to the vet in a couple months which is a total miracle !- |

| Muenster Horse feeds are extruded and improves digestion. They have a complete vitamin/mineral package in the feed so you don’t need to add anything but joint supplement. I do add Dac Cool
Gut. They have pre and pro biotic in their feed. |

Not sure if i can get in NC. Where i live even to get southern states is about a 50 min drive.
The bad thing is they are doing great on the sentinel but for some reason we can not keep it in stock locally (and i work there and bug them about it!)
Id love to try renew gold but I have to check the dates on them. A friend bought a bag from a diff tsc and it was totally out of date |

I just checked their website and the closest dealer is about an hour and 15 min away. |

TSC has no out of date Renew Gold that I know of. I posted about this before. The date that is unfortunately printed on the top white tape strip was put there by the bag manufacturer, and is the date the bags were printed. The production date of the Renew Gold in that bag will be on the bottom sewn on white tape strip. It will be four numbers followed by a "D". The first number will be the year, a 7 represents 2017. The next three will be the Julian day of the year. 001 being January 1, to 365 being December 31. Today is the 351'st day of the year. So Renew Gold made today would have 7351D printed on the bottom white tape strip. Hope this helps. |
