Has anyone ever replaced the front aluminum on a horse trailer? What did it run you?

It is aluminum on steel frame with checkerplate on the base. Both the aluminum and checkerplate are dented.

Last night we were going up the driveway at the indoor and it was a sheet of ice under the snow and we were about 3/4 up the hill when I lost traction and the **** thing pulled me back like a hockey puck down the hill. Fortunately the ridge of snow stopped us but we had enough momentum that it turned the trailer and jacknifed against my truck.

A friend of mine had hers replaced. It was on a Sooner and her insurance paid for it but the biggest problem is she had to take it to the Sooner factory to have it done.

Same here.
Sooner billed my insurance.

Not the front, but to replace my aluminum roof due to hail damage was 10k usd, hauled it to Idaho. Up here in Canada it would have been over 20k airdrie trailer sales.

I don't have any suggestions but that would have scared the CRAP out of me!

I may have let out a few cuss words going down. Thought for sure we were going straight through barbwire and over the bank!
