| Please share any info you have on barrel horses by Voghts Gold. I have one now that I am selling, and I am trying to find out how successful the cross is. Equistat & AQHA gave me a few that have won some $$ (from $100-$37K), but I know those sites don't have all the info. I did print out AQHA's list of foals by him, so I have that.

| I'll give you a little help ...
I am not familiar with Voghts Gold due to him not being at a stallion
farm in Tx or Ok .. AND my race breeding program was directed at
Beduino, FDD, Streakin Six, Raise Your Glass, Corona Cartel, DTF,
Royal Quick Dash and On A High....
VOGHTS GOLD 2004
Ran as a 2yo in 2006
and as a 3yo in 2007
put in the breeding shed in 2008

You have the AQHA print out showing the years his get were born ..
put them in yearly order from 2009 to present
Now sort them out by year from 2009 to 2013 for barrel earnings
since futurities etc start as 4yo's ... and the oldest as barrel
contenders with earning records would only be his 9-8-7-6-5 year olds ...
Keep in mind that your pro rodeo and top 4D horses fall in the age groups
of 12 years old +/- 4 years or 8 to 16 years old. And all you have is 5-9
year olds to research.
The reality of owning a barrel horse stallion is due to the time it takes to
train his get and for them to enter competition as 4 year olds and older.
The stallion is getting some age on them by the time they have proven
get to become well known names to most people. We are talking about
the sire being 16-20 years old or older.
For instance ..take these two dynamic stallions have not been HOT NEWS
for several years ... but in 2017-2018 they both got a tremendous boost to show
their siring power ..
PC FRENCHMANS HAYDAY is a 1995 model making him 23 years old ..

You never know when a talented barrel racer gets matched up with a
talented bloodline and become famous by hard work and a lot of luck!!
And then along came Dash Ta Fame with his speed and hardy conformation
and the added turning ability of Tinys Gay that set barrel horse eventing
on fire!! The flame of popularity for barrel racing has never burned
so brightly.
Here is the break down of stacking successful barrel bloodlines down into
successful categories along with current well know speed lines.
Biankus horses controlled the NW states.. ID, OR, CA, UT
Sun Frost and his son Frenchmans Guy controlled these states MT,SD,ND,MN,AZ
Jet of Honor and Fire Water Flit controlled OK, TX, LA and southern states
On A Money Red made a showing as a sire in Florida.
Take the 4 major sire lines above ..that became available nation wide with
the internet, super trailers and bigger purses along with CS shipments
with overnight transporting made it possible for breeders to expand their
bloodlines to include any or all of the above over a number of years of
strategic breeding. By stacking the successful bloodlines to set the future
characteristics of barrel horse conformations, agility, speed and dispositions.
While adding more and more speed with each generation ..
It makes me proud of my past 25 years of breeding barrel horses to see my
selection of families still proving themselves even today .....
You will see how I added a barrel bloodline and a speed bloodline each
generation and now I am line breeding to bring certain characteristics
to the top as cream of the crop ..
Study the dams pedigree and the sires pedigree of the following and
see how they tie in with the above sires that dominated areas of the
USA for years all wrapped and stacked in these up coming babies ..
Never forget to put super mare power from either or both speed and
barrel bloodlines ... do not leave any empty holes in your pedigree.
Keep your eyes on the two speed lines that are great outcrosses on
barrel speed mixed with the above barrel lines ...
