Helmet questions

What's brands seem to fit an oval shaped head, and what brands seem to fit a round head better? Also, how to you figure what your head shape is like? I think mine is more oval because it's hard for me to find a cowboy hat that doesn't make the front of my head red and still staying on. I currently have an Ovation which works nicely but I'm looking at buying another that's more low profile.

Mine is oval and the Glam & Grit helmet I got fits perfect. True to size, itβs my first helmet and so comfortable.

I have an oval head and I love my Tippery Sportage.
troxel hurt my head - they seem to work better for those with a round head.

Tipperary Sportage. Fits oval heads beautifully. Low profile, vents on top for airflow.

I think the best thing to do is to go and try on as many options as you can. I know that can be tough for folks in some areas.
I wear a long oval cowboy hat...and I wear a Troxel intrepid helmet which most folks say is for a more round head. Both are very comfy for me, I donβt usually even take my helmet off while Iβm unsaddling one and saddling the next horse. I had a Tipperary Sportage and it hurt my head terribly.
I also personally keep mine subdued and affordable. In the event that I do take a spill, I do not want the fact that the helmet cost over $100 to even cross my mind as a reason not to go replace it immediately.

I have A large head that is very round. I have an Ovation and it's very comfortable! The Troxels hurt my head.
