I bought one. For a time I thought it would not work for me and that it did not fit my horse. I went to a Jane Melby clinic and discussed with her and Dennis George of G Bar G that it appeared to sit up in the back and I was getting tossed on my horse's neck in the turns. I thought it was the saddle creating my riding problems.

Dennis had various trees there and the one that fit my horse best was his standard #1 tree that I had. That tree fits a large variety of horses. He uses 100% real wool so it didn't sit down much until after I got in the saddle or after a ride. I really like how it is cut back at the skirts at the shoulder area and allows much more freedom of movement. After watching my ride position, he informed me my stirrups were adjusted a little too short. We lowered them a notch and the whole time I am thinking "my legs are really going to go behind me". They didn't. It changed my pelvis angle and the entire feel of the saddle. My feet stay balanced underneath me. Jane worked with me next and got me to put weight in my stirrups but not stand up so to speak. My horse started working like a charm. I had almost sold it and I am so glad I didn't now. It puts me in an aggressive stance and position to do my job without moving a lot back and forth. I barely press down on horn and my butt is against back cantle and my horse really gets on his butt then.

The leather comes feeling like butter and already broke in. I ride a 14" in almost everything and I do in his saddle also. Dennis recommends a high quality 100% wool pad. I found I liked mine even better with a Saddleright pad.
