I have some of the interlocking mats. You can get them from Walmart or online. I bought a case from Uline of the black. I have a friend that goes and buys a couple of sheets of sound board I think she called it and she puts that down and then her shavings and then she doesn't have to pick up the board and leaves it there. That's the one draw back of the mats is you have to put them down and take them up and I rinse mine before putting them back in the trailer then let them air dry at home.

Fiber board works really good too and it is cheap approx $9 per board and you can get it at Menards or anyplace like that. We use that at the world show in GA. and just leave it there after the show.

I double up my mats in the trailer, then I have mats on hand wherever I go. I just pull those out and use them in the stall, put them back in on trailer floor when it’s time to leave.

Hearing of more and more places cracking down on things like that though because the facility has to dispose of it afterwards... I feel like last year one race we went to we were warned that the grounds crew was patrolling the stalling area looking for these things and folks would be fined/asked to leave/not permitted to rent a stall again (I honestly don’t remember the punishment, but it wasn’t a slap on the wrist).
