So, ignorance here, but... why is desirable to have so many bulls that are ridden so few times? I'm guessing that the level of skill in the bullriders has greatly increased, not just the bull's skill. Why wouldn't it be kind of more balanced in favor of having bulls that could actually get covered and the fans actually see a score? I'm not saying 100% rideable but more than what I am seeing in this episode?
There are a lot of monetary incentives for the higher caliber bulls in the PBR. You'll find those more rider friendly bulls in the PRCA. I wonder too if PBR spectators aren't just as much intrigued with the bulls (the badder the better) as they are their favorite bull riders. Bulls like the retired Bushwhacker and Pearl Harbor were like movie stars.  | |

Cody Lambert compared Pearl to Bushwhacker when he passed away. Said he didn't have to win a world championship to prove what a champion he was (something along those lines I think). Those old school bulls were amazing. Much different styles than the current bulls. But then one of today's bulls will come out of the chute with a belly roll and it's reminiscent of those old greats! I love old and new! I have to admit I'm probably guilty of what Frodo said---I may be more of a bull fan than a true bull rider fan. . . . . Not to say I don't appreciate Jess, Derek, JB, Cody, Chase, etc tho!!!! | |

And yeah Bodacious was awesome. I thought we'd see some of his babies wow bullriding but I don't think there were any.

I do remember Mickey Mouse; Chandler used to have the figurines of all the older bulls. There were some legends that sure are missed. I don't usually know which of the younger bulls belong to which daddy bull (!!) unless their name reflects the connection. (I did hear Cody Lambert say that he has high hopes for Sky Harbor, one of Pearl Harbor's sons.) I wish I knew more of "baby daddy" info as I'm watching these younger bulls!!! | |
