We who desire to see and to enter the kingdom of God must be born again. The apostle Paul described this a being "transformed". We get our English word " metamorphosis" from the single compound Greek word. The picture of a caterpillar spinning a cocoon around itself and later emerging as a new creation, a beautiful butterfly. No longer doomed to crawl on its belly, no longer limited in 'tis perspective and location, this butterfly can now soar freely. Similarly, we experience a new birth when we recognize our sin, repent of that sin, and trust in Christ alone to forgive us. At the point fo this new Birth we can be sure that God's Spirit is at work within us, making us hungry for God's Word, passionate for His truth, and more like Jesus every day. We are INDEED NEW creations! There is a world of difference in being ' conformed' outwardly to a new set of moral standards and being "transformed " inwardly by the Spirit of God. The Bible say it is like going from " darkness to light" Acts 26:18. Or from " death it life" John 5:24. Lord, IT IS ALL ABOUT YOU, NOT me. It is what YOU HAVE DONE for me, NOT what I have done for You. Guide me to do ALL things that will bring GLORY AND HONOR to YOU AMEN For it is WITH God ALL things are possible. Got first chemo done yesterday....up and down all night, steroids do this had 3 bags chemo different meds. Nausea and steriiod bag. Feel little ringing in head, flush...but other wise ok.
