Just throwing this out there. I have a horse with what I thought was front foot soreness. Went to vet, diagnosed as shoulder muscle pull. Not suspected to be torn due to the fact horse is pretty much sound. Vet said to give isoxuprine for a week, have chiro check it out, regular exercise in streight lines to prevent stiffness. After 24 hours on isoxuprine 100000 percent improvement. But is there any muscle repair type supplements out there ? Thanks !

Location: Willows, CA		Muscle repair requires quality protein. This can be enhanced by additional lysine which allows for more efficient uptake and therefore improved use of that protein. Knowing your diet, I think you are covered on that front. The type of injury that you are describing is a step beyond the common micro injuries to muscle that horses get when they perform at a high level. Repairing those has a direct relationship to what we consider “recovery time” before a horse should be performing again. A strain like you describe may require more time, but, I would think that you have what the horse needs nutritionally.
