I've ridden an Easy Otie Whiz. Nutjob of a mare. Athletic, powerful and gorgeous but did not have the brains to put it together. Would go in and mark a 74 and the next run would end up scratching or with a 60 something.

I had a Hollywood Dun It and Topsail Whiz mare who was a 1D mare, finished reiner as well. She was smart and very talented but had been hammered on in reining training and her brain was a little rattled but I loved running her.

Easy Otie Whiz babies are not very user friendly. I’ve ridden a few Topsail Whiz direct and grand get and they were all nutty. However they can be very talented.

I've had three, I wouldn't call them nutty but definitely very sensitive. If you do right by them and get them broke right they're awesome gritty horses.

I used to start colts for Bob. Agree with all of the above- mares will be feely and sensitive and calculating and tough jawed and reactive. Studs/geldingg a lot easier to get along with Lots of TW mares never made it to the pen. But the great ones are great. Bottom side makes a big difference too.
That being said- I'd breed that mare to a Playgun or PYC stud. Whiz mares make great broodmares and breeding her to something quiet minded might be awesome!
