Location: Illinois | I have always just stuck mine in a hole I make in an apple slice or carrot. I have one that won't touch carrots & one that won't touch apples. But the one that won't touch apples loves apple flavored bute and treats lol. Next time I need to give pills I may try this, but I didn't see it at TSC last night. |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | When I have to do pills I just dissolve them in warm water and mix them in their feed. I have never giving my horses apples are carrots lol, I'm a mean mommy |

Location: Illinois | I only do when there's pills to be put in, they get so excited I don't have to worry about them figuring out he pill is in there, it gets inhaled. I got the email for it a couple weeks ago, maybe I'm higher up on the email list. My TSC doesn't carry much Standlee variety, they switched to the Dumor brand so they may never get it |

LOL, no kidding , SMZ's for me is just easier to dissolve and mix with feed, my horses outsmart me pretty fast when it comes to pills.. I think the Standlee trick would be more for a one horse owner.. |

Location: Illinois | I get the liquid instead of the pills, mine is on it now for her cellulitis. It's oodles easier and the same price at my vet. And she doesn't seem to mind the flavor, she lets me squirt it right up there with no arguing & swallows easily. But she's the one who also loves bute, and loves any type of dewormer I've shoved in there so far as well so she's just an oddball. If I had to give pills to my 25 year old I'd just put them in tater tots, there's nothing he won't do for some potatoes. If I crushed some in EquiPulmin my running gelding would probably suck it up because if he gets a whiff of me opening that bottle he starts throwing a fit until he gets it. Apparently it's like his crack cocaine or something |
