What’s the best way to keep mare from kicking in trailer? It doesn’t matter where she’s put, she still kicks.

Try some kick chains like this, might help. You can make them way cheaper then buying them.

It loading her in slats try to open one up so she has plenty of room and if your have drop down windows in both sides open them up. And put kick chains on her. My sister had the worst mare ever to kick in a trailer! We gave her almost a whole tube of In the zone and did what I posted and she stopped kicking! She used to kick so bad her hocks would be bloody when you in loaded her!
Good luck

Friends good mare would tear a trailer apart
(including putting her leg through a window/stock slat more than once
) until they discovered she wants to ride backwards. They actually modified their trailer to turn the last 2 stalls into more of a box stall so she can turn around and be tied facing backwards. Worked for them. The mare was also worth the headache.
