| Still trying to figure out something to work with this horse. Would a Double J #10 be an option? Crates?? I've already tried a wide tree flex2 KKaminski, Martin Crown C, Deb Sibley and CircleY the proven. There are hollow spots behind the withers and my current saddle that he was fitted for (kelly kaminski) does NOT fit and cause bulges on the withers and slides back.

| Anyone with saddle suggestions?? Current saddle is the one in the photo and its for sale. I cant even get my hand under the front edge at all, sad thing is he was fitted for this saddle and ive delt with issues ever since and the dealer said that is the way they fit. He is swishing his tail, not wanting to move forward and very choppy in the front, I called them right after it was sent to me and she said there was a break in period. |

| I feel your pain - I sent my KK back to the dealer after Circle y said there was no break-in period and google didn’t come up with anything about it either. I cant help you with saddle fit, as none of mine are wide. Maybe send those pics to a few saddle makers and see if they can help? im in the habit of buying used, trying, and selling to find a good fit for one of my horses. I REALLY wanted a Shiloh to work, but both the 7” and 6-3/4” roll on mine - so MAYBE a 7” would work on your gorgeous dun??????????? |

How many rides do you have in this saddle? Is it still in new condition with no sweat marks on saddle and not dirty I would send the saddle back..This dealer seems to not know about saddle fit..If this horse was fitted for this saddle and it dont fit, then this dealer should take it back. |

Location: North Dakota | I'm not convinced you need the WIDE of the Circle Y Flex2. The bar angle isn't too much different between the wide and regular, but the gullet is a heck of a lot wider on the wide. If it's sliding back on you, I wonder if it is too wide and you need the regular instead. Your horse's back really doesn't appear flat or wide enough for the wide, IMO. My Shotgun has big shoulders, higher withers, and he does great in the regular Circle Y Flex2. My Red is a big beefy classic wide Quarter Horse and he does great in the wide Circle Y Flex2. |

| I had the regular KK Flex on my mare. It slid back INCHES when I rode. Now shes in a standard pozzi tree tree and it’s the best fit I’ve found. |

Location: where the wind blows | I was having similar issues with my 5 year old mare. I tried 5 different saddles. I started looking at pads and bought an Impact Gel set back pad. Has made a huge difference. I ended up by a second pad for my other barrel horse and then my reining coach tried mine and ordered herself one and another gal I ride with did too. Lifts the saddle off their shoulders and gives them room. I’ll try to post a pic if it lets me. If not look at stateline tack Website. That’s where I ordered mine from.

| Sold the Circle Y and trying this saddle. Do you think this fits? I did try a Cactus 7" gullet with a fleece bottom roper saddle that seems to fit good and after talking with Cactus, they said an older Charmayne James barrel saddle may fit him also....

| I did ride but not enough to get him sweaty as its not warm enough here in MN! I thought it felt tight just trying to find the correct spot to place the saddle as it just seemed tight everywhere. |

I agree with this! I think if its sliding its to wide. I'd try a regular!
