I went to my feed store this afternoon to try to pick up some BB feed and they were out of what I wanted (of course) and wasnt due for a delivery for 3 weeks, that wont work. A purina rep just happened to be standing near the counter. We got to talking about feeds, what I'm feeding now and the increase in activity that's coming up for my horses. She talked me into trying their Purina Strategy HE with the outlast supplement added in. I got a few coupons for future use. I got home and opened the bag and it seems like a really nice feed, extruded pellets and the amplify added in. I always liked the amplify fat supplement. I feel kinda bad for cheating on BB but I was in a bind lol! So anyone here feed the HE any experience good, bad ... ? One thing I do like about the thought of becoming a purina feeder is that its readily available at pretty much every feed store close to me. I am transitioning one horse from the buckeye Gro n win onto the purina... I liked the Gro n win concept but my horse always acts like hes starving to death one 2lbs a day of it and @$20 for a 30lb bag I'm just not finding it cost effective enough for the big guy.

We have 3 on it now, and I've used it for years.   I am totally happy with it--I'm a Purina girl, but I know not everyone is!   Please don't make fun of my fatties!!!!  They're on half a can of HE and nothing else but grass.

Awww my horses are seriously plump too. In fact when I dropped off my 4yr old our trainer asked if he'd eaten my other horses lol! What can i say, i have extremely easy keepers!

I’ve fed it for years and really like it. I have my 26 year old on it now and he’s doing great.

We have 3 on the regular Strategy and 1 on Purina Impact Professional - all 3 look amazing.  The 4th one didn’t look bad on the Strategy, but he was in the highest amount of work and didn’t look as fabulous as I felt he could.  I’d heard really good things about the Impact so we have it a go.  He looks amazing now.

I have one that is insulin resistant and it was recommended that I feed her Strategy Healthy Edge.  She has done very well on it for years.

I love it and have been feeding it for years. All my horses have always looked great on it. I feed a small coffee can at night.

Oh good I like reading all the positive posts on it. My horses seem to really like it, it definitely has a different odor than what I was feeding.

I have seen it work great for many many horses through the years . They were always in great body condition & their coats just gleamed!  I currently feed Ultium & I love it ! I don’t have to feed as much as most feeds & it keeps my horses looking good & oh so shiny ! I know so many don’t like purina .. but I must say I’m a fan & always end up going back to it !
