We have an indoor arena and have hosted a variety of clinics the last two summers. Les Vogt, Deb Guelly, Brenda & Lynna Mays and BHW member himself, Flitastic!  We have had others scheduled like Mounted Shooting and De Spooking but for various reason, lack of participation or personal reasons, haven't had them.  We've attemted roping but finding a cattle supply is hard.  My husband has put on a couple horsemanship, colt starting and beginner cow working clinics.

Who are some other great clinicians, not limiting it to barrels?  Is there a preferred time of year you'd like certain clinics?  Do you want new exercises before the season starts or at the end so you have the winter to work on them, or does it not matter?  We are located in E. WA so winter clinics are a little trickier depending on weather.

Any input is greatly appreciated.!

I went to a roping clinic with NFR qualifier Quinn Kesler.  He provided the cattle, training and lunch.  It was the best day I could have done for my roping.  So much improvement.

I attended a Judy Myllymaki clinic a couple of years ago and LOVED IT. I still use some of her drills. She's a great lady and didnt try to sell anything and was helpful with each horse/rider combo. I brought a problem horse and she took the time to work with me one on one after the "session" was over. I would definitely attend another one of hers.

When I was younger I attended Josey's clinic every summer, which was more fun than actually helpful in my opinion. You ride your horse all day for 6 days straight and both of you are exhausted by the end. I think she's a great person, but personally wouldnt attend another one of hers. I think it's great for a younger crowd that just wants to have a fun week long horsey vacation. Ha.

I audited a Pat Parelli clinic and found it helpful for basic horsemanship and groundwork. Still use some of his tips.

I dont even know if she does clinics but I sure do enjoy her books and her daily tips. Easy to follow and understand. Heather Smith. Her husband started his own line for team roping. Craig Smith.  I'd like to attend a breakaway clinic myself and for my daughter. I'd love to go to a Lari Dee Guy clinic for that.

I would second the Judy Mylamaki clinic.  I had wanted to to for years and finally got to one last year.  Very good, foundational information with no sales pitch or gimicks.  GREAT lady.

I've also watched a couple Paul Tierney clinics.  He is an EXCELLENT teacher and typically brings one of his sons for teaching assistance.  What's cool is his focus on getting your mind right, treatment of your horse and positive attitude.  I could listen to him all day.

Ashley Schaeffer is someone I've been wanting to work with.  She's a good person, hard worker and you can't argue with her success.

I have been to 2 Jane Melby clinics and I will probably go again if I can. Each time I build on what I learned last time. !0/10 would recommend.

Creston Equine Center hasa nice facility and they do go all out in everything they do! If you could get her to come out I would say Danyelle Campbell. SHe has trained so many winners of all different styles, shapes, and size horses.
