Thank you for the kind words. I don't come here too often and just saw this. I would be happy to answer any questions anyone may have. There are many options for feeding out there, and we would love to share with you our philosophy. We strive to offer the best value in equine nutrition, with premium and ultra-premium formulations.
Well picking out corn and clumps of who knows what lately from my sr (crack) feed is kind of concerning me. I jokingly call is crack because my 2 horses go absolutely nuts on it, not so much behavior wise, just when its feeding time. They try to rip the feed buckets from my hand. I dont feed very much of it, I've never liked to feed a lot of grain anyway. I have what I think, are easy keepers... they are used often and honestly it wouldn't hurt either one to drops a few lbs ... I like the idea of alfalfa based feed, the fortify feed interests me the most right now for the anti inflammatory benefit, especially for my older guy.
Both of the Purina products will have corn as an ingredient in the feed, so it would be routine. They also are heavy molasses products. DDN does not have molasses. All feeds may have a little corn in them from time to time, as it is impossible to eliminate at a facility that uses corn. Fortify is the only concentrate feed with an Omega 3 rate higher than Omega 6. The other feeds are also the lowest ratios that can be found at around 2:1 Omega 6:3. Fortify includes coconut meal and the highest level of milled flax in any feed. A typical daily ration of Fortify (5-7 lbs) provides about 6-8 ounces of milled flax and contains aprox. 1.71% Omega 3 per lb.

Any dealers in Southern CA???
Ok, so it would be beneficial for anti inflammatory benefits then? My older horse will tend to get a little sore n stiff from time to time if he sits too long and it's cold out. They are both supplemented with an oz of STP a day added in their feed. I noticed a pretty significant difference in him when hes on it. I ran out and tried to see if it made that big of a difference for a few weeks off and it sure did. It's pretty inexpensive so I just give to both. My farrier noticed he was less stiff and a bit more flexible as well. I feed unlimited decent coastal hay when they are stalled as well.
Yes, all of the feeds are anti-inflamatory and have the most Omega 3 and the best ratios, Fortify especially.
