My thyroid showed up on my yearly wellness exam with a blood test.  My TSH levels were 68.62 now they are 14.??.  So they are going dow and I think your TSH leavels are to be in the 4.?? to 5.?? range.  I had always suspected my thyroid was out of whack but never had it tested until lately and not sure why they caught it now.

Normal TSH is anywhere between .4 and 5. I do well at about .5, but everyone is different. If you are at 14 that is still way too high in my opinion, but I am not a physician, so you should definately follow the advice of yours over me. But, believe me when you get it right you will feel better and it's noticeable. At least it was for me.

I was diagnosed in my early 20s. I could sleep round the clock and still be tired and I gained a sh8t ton of weight and showed clinical signs of depression. In my younger years I was always very thin, had a super high metabolism, could eat whatever I wanted, when I wanted, and then one day it's like someone blew out the fire in the furnace. Rapidly gained about 70+ pounds, it was pure hell. I was tested, put on meds, but the physicians I had would ignore me when I told them I still didn't feel good. My TSH would chart at about 5-7 and they told me that was normal and all in my head. I've been told I'm lazy, that if I was working out an hour then I should work out two. I've since found a great doctor, who listens, and works with me. i have regular blood work and will sometimes have a blood draw when I'm not feeling good. Most times it's because my TSH is off.

Olaplex is a game changer for any hair, doesn't even need to be colored/chemically treated. I get my dark brown hair lightened to platinum in one sitting, so you can imagine how much I shed. Started using Olaplex shampoo, conditioner, & once a week treatment & my hair doesn't shed at all now. My brush used to be thick with hair by the end of a week and now there's probably 10% of that. Took about 2 months of using it to see the current results. Been using it since it came out now. Coconut oil also works wonders too & will help the baby hairs from breakage grow faster. I just finger it through my dry hair once a week & let it sit for a couple hours at night & then wash out. For me thats helped more than anything I've tried to ingest for it

I use to have my hair highlighted very very light, I decided to tone it down and had her start putting darker low lights in. I'm thinking of shying away completely from blonde. I'm kinda over it. Of course, I gave my stylist strict instructions to not listen to me when I tell her, let's go dark .. i always change my mind ... lol! But seriously,  I'm really considering going darker,  shes going to kill me. My natural color is kind of a mousey brown, just bland .. boring.. I'm finding the blonde being really difficult to keep up with . The color fades because of our water out here, I've used all the purple shampoos. My hair just doesnt want to hold that nice light blonde that it looks like when I leave the salon. A few weeks later it's back to yellowing or brassy looking. Here I am talking myself into going darker lol! I was always told darker colors are less hard on your hair than light.

I have a lot of iron/rust in my well water, it's always a light yellow color or runs red after a heavy rain. I didn't have luck with any purple shampoos except Surface Pure Violet shampoo & conditioner. It's ridiculousy strong stuff. If you leave it on too long it'll stay purple even. Mine stays nice longer with the Olaplex too, it doesn't start brassing for 3-4 weeks. I go 3 months between appointments & haven't had any brass issues anymore. I only use the pruple shampoo & conditioner once a week and the Olaplex the rest of the time

Where do you get that shampoo and conditioner?

My stylist just picks it up for me when she goes to their supply store. Or I've also ordered from Amazon & it was just fine. Some say thats not the same quality as what the stylist gets, but sometimes I think thats a scam started by stylists to get you to spend double on the one they sell lol

Yes that was me when I was younger.  I am 69 now but I could always sleep round the clock but I did have a bigger drive when I was younger as I had horses to train and show but that all changed when I divorced and moved to Oklahoma.  I took a year off from working but found I had to go back to work to pay the bills and now I don't have time to ride or train and my horses got older right along with me so they are retired now and I am dealing with lameness issues with them in their older years.  I am hoping to get back to feeling better and not sleep so much on the weekends.  She has changed my dosage and I will keep getting blood tests down until I level off and in the normal range for my TSH.

Sounds familiar. Mine's always been a 4 when tested, but I have pretty much every single symtom of hypothyroidism there is. So my doctor just tells me it's all because I'm "obese". I followed a nutritionist's plan and worked out with a trainer for months & never lost an ounce of weight or inches. Went back to doctor, she said I'm not doing enough. What I was doing had worked several times before, losing up to 5lbs a week. It was very successful previously and didn't do squat this time. And this weight came on a lot faster than ever previously and I had been eating the same things & maintaining before for several years. Just had it tested again and its still at 4, but my mom's was at 5 when she had the same issue & eventually had to have hers out bc it was thryroid cancer. Same freaking doctor. I'm considering going to a new one, but I have a $5,000 deductible before my insurance will pay and I don't really have the funds to pay after some really nice unplanned vet bills the end of the year lol.

One of my husbands cousins is a hair dresser and I've spoken to her a few times about that myth about buying from them or online. She said it really depends. Some are hit or miss... but she did give me a little secret, go to Marshals (department store) and buy their professional salon products they have on their shelves, usually marked off for clearance. I've done it several times ... getting Paul Mitchell, Redkin, Aveda products for 60-70% off salon prices. Only thing is catching them before they disappear, sometimes they only have the shampoo available or just the conditioner,  I buy them when I can. She told me they are the real deal salon products overstocked.
