I also think everyone should do what is ask of us.  This has to be gotten under control or our lives will change as we know it for a lot longer.  Barrel races should cancel for the safety of all.  There is too many fragile people out there.  Just heard a 2 year old tested positive.  Ban together and do the right thing.

did you read about the new jersey family:(*** the mom died, past the virus to her kids at a family dinner, now ,a couple of them died and i THINK 4 more in same family have it:(

I'm going to turn some music on, do some laundy, reorganize some things, eat cupcakes, hang out with my family, watch netflix..maybe drink some wine if I can get ahold of any...

Make this fun. It totally can be.

Rest, take a nap, read a book, group face time your friends/relatives. Recharge.

Use this time to your advantage in some way if you can.

This too shall pass, and we all will be back to the grind before we know it, wishing we could take a break.

After our governor shut down all gaming in Nevada everyone cancelled all the barrel races and rodeos near us.

I still have to go to work (criminals still have constitutional rights), but only 2 1/2 days a week so that staff is not crammed in like the sardines we usually are.  But other than that I don't really have a need to go anywhere so it's home and work.

I'll use my time off to ride, clean house and hopefully do some projects, depending on the weather and hubbys work schedule or lack thereof.

My thoughts revolve around the people PUTTING ON a barrel race right now -- not so much the contestants who can probably keep their distance from everyone. How about the office person who has to handle all the entry forms? Cash? Checks? EVERYONE is going through that registration office. Sure, you can go in one at a time, wipe down after each person, etc. But there is still a lot of people that need to come and go in that registration office.

So..... is one barrel race really, really worth it for the potential risk?

I've just closed the doors to my business for at least 2 weeks. Partly mandated - but it's also the right thing to do right now. I haven't even started riding my horses yet this year. And it's the last thing on my mind at the moment. More worried about how I am going to get my business to bounce back when society can function again. And how I am going to pay my staff, or if I should lay them off.

It's everyone's individual decision on to go or to stay home. I say to stay home. Get the peak over quicker so we can get going again.

I think my plan starting Monday is locked door, but I'll be there working on taxes.   People can drop taxes off in my drop box, I'll file electronically, they can drop my payment in the box, and everyone can pick up copies when things get back to normal.   (We do billing and payment for a rural water system, and that flow of people and money is my biggest fear.  So locked doors for us. . . )

There are only 3 people in my office--Sean, Brenda (his aunt), and me.
