With churches closed & family get togethers on hold what is everyone doing to make Easter a special day this year?

I talked to my friend last night (BIG immediate family and always has a full Easter day of church and food and eggs and bunnies, etc), and she's so depressed.   She said between Easter being SO different and being unemployed (cosmetologist) and homeschooling, she's just down.  I'm worried about her. . .

But I also know God is good and we shall persevere.

We'll probably sort calf/cow pairs, eat some food, and call it a day.
We don't get too excited over Easter.

I do have to make the dreaded trek into Walmart to get my nieces something.

This will be the first Easter I have spent with out my children, since they were born. They are grown & live in a city near by I haven't got to see them for almost 4 weeks now. We usually get together ever Sunday after church. They both work essential jobs & I baby sit for a lady who is a nurse. She has been doing virus testing, so we made the decision to not get together for now. My daughter's birthday was at the end of March she told me she was spending hers in lock down & I would be too. I guess she is right. When this is over we are having huge party. I ordered candy that will be delivered to them Saturday, first year with out Easter baskets so I just had to do something.

I never knew you could be homesick & never even leave home

Dear Lord, draw my thoughts upward toward You every minute of every day, but especially this Easter. Help me resist the temptation to focus on the painful things of this earthly life and learn to control my thoughts so they don’t sink my faith or joy in You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

This made me so sad--God bless you and your family.  And I hope y'all have a BLOWOUT get together when this is over

C sent me a news feed link today that showed Greenville MS  cops writing tickets to parishioners in a church parking lot (I guess this past weekend).  Cars were parked yards apart, single people or families in cars with windows rolled up, and the pastor was in the church alone preaching over a radio frequency that the people could hear in their cars.  The preacher was interviewed on a radio program and told the cops that they would need to bring extra ticket books this weekend because they would be holding services the same way. . . I believe the state is investigating already.

Thank you!

The blessings will flow because no one can stop Easter!  I know in my heart the Lord will see us through this.

That is awful about church.
