Starting to think about studs for next year. Would be crossed on a firewater flit granddaughter - very kind but more fine boned and small footed than I like. I like the looks of these:

Famous Bugs

Fiestas Gotta Gun

Absolut Frenchman

Streakin Boon Dox

Sawyers Game Changer (she's palomino though so this might not work)

The Kandyman

Anyone have one of their babies? What do we know about them? What kind of producers are they? Any other suggestions for her?

I have a Famous Bugs out of a FWF daughter.  She is hugh.  16 hands, giant feet, lots of bone.  She just foaled her first baby by PC Judge Oakwood.  The mare ran 1D at the BFA juvenille and then severed her DDFT in an fence accident.  She is a full sister to BuckWyld, Buckneighked and Fyrefly.  All have had outstanding careers and are still running.  I highly reccomend.

I also have a 3/4 sister to streakin boon dox.  A very successful maternal line.  I'd breed to him in a heartbeat as well.  Those are my 2 favorites from your list.

The Kandyman  has potential and they are promoting him well.  Anxious to see what he produces.

Wow!! Ok awesome! Thank you for the info. Famous Bugs was my initial thought for her, but I've never had a DTF. I've heard people say they're different and I'm used to cow horses (my husband ropes) and Frenchman's guy. What is your mare like to be around?

My parents had a grandson of Boon Dox John whom I loved growing up. He was soooo muscular and beautiful with tons on bone and an absolute sweetheart. His one downfall was he had terrible feet. Could've been from his halter breeding on the top side though. I wonder how streakin Boon Dox's feet are?

mare is good natured, kind, smart and friendly.    SBD feet... I'd call and ask.  My mare has really good hard black feet, but she also doesn't have the Boon Dox John.

The Kandyman is not a tall stallion and I would consider him fine boned. Ive seen him in person.

I have an Absolut Frenchman filly that I like a lot. She's out of a mare who's dam is a full sibling to Frenchmans Fabulous.

Unfortunately I won't get to her until this fall as I am preggo but I like everything about her this far. Good bone, wants to please but not in your pocket.

Fiesta's Gotta Gun is on the short list for my FG daughter that is hot/fragile. I have seen numerous offspring and they are all so gentle, willing, and above all very talented.

I am partial to Boon Dox John horses, so Streakin Boon Dox is one of my favorite ASOF sons.

Awesome! That's the first I've heard of a personal experience with an Absolut Frenchman colt. I'm really really liking Fiestas Gotta Gun - and that's great to know about his offspring because I've not seen one in person. That's the way I like them!  By the way for anyone curious I checked with the owners of Streakin Boon Dox and he wears a size 1 shoe so definitely could help add some foot to my mare. Wonder what his babies are like personality and training wise?

I have a FGG yearling out of a TB mare- definitely very racy built (more so than her 3/4 siblings out of the same mare and by a different Playgun son). She's very smart, willing to please, and already as tall as her 2yo sister. She's got fairly good bone, but her dam has a lot of bone for a TB. We like our yearling so much we are breeding her dam back to FGG this spring.

FGG's dam Firewater Fiesta is an own son of FWF, so are you sure you would want that much FWF or would you prefer an outcross?

That was my only concern with him - too much FWF? His owner didn't seem to think it was. I just worry about the feet/bone because my mare and two other FWF granddaughters that my friends have had (all bred differently other than the FWF) all have small feet and smaller bone. So I'm concerned that wouldn't be fixed as easily. Wonder about a different playgun son? Like PG Dry Fire?

I think most everyone on here knows my love for Playgun and his sons, I'll talk about them all day If you're thinking another Playgun son, I would highly recommend Hired Gun. He is 14.3hh though, and FGG is 15hh I believe. PG Dry Fire ships horribly, your best bet with him would be to breed onsite (if that is an option, he stands in Idaho), PG Heavily Armed also doesn't ship well. FGG and Hired Gun both ship very well.

The three horses pictured are all out of the same TB mare. All three have great feet, awesome dispositions, really we couldn't ask for anything better with these crosses. I haven't heard anything (good or bad) about doubling up on the FWF, so I can't comment on that.

Here's our 2yo filly by Hired Gun:

Our yearling filly by FGG, (definitely more racy than the HGs, still in that awkward yearling stage):

Wow!! They are all 3 gorgeous! I didn't even think about hired gun! Good choice. His babies you have are beautiful little chunks - that's actually what my mare needs more of. The FGG is gorgeous too! Thank you for sharing pics. I'm glad to know that about how their semen ships. That's important! :)
