What are some things you do to keep your horse tight and rating. Mine does not require a lot of riding but we are in a rut where we are trying to get a little bit more run to the first and in between. If I gas it too much he may run by a jump or so. Sometimes he peels the paint. Anyways...give me some suggestions.

The 4 Barrel Drill is one of my favorites! Change up the size of the pattern big or small and be sure to go both ways :) Seriously I think every horse can benefit from this exercise in one way or another. Everyone needs this in their toolkit.

I did the 4 barrel drill yesterday to sharpen up my horse and then made a run.  He was in and out in his barrels better than ever.  Only difference I worked outside in on the drill.
