I will be taking a trip to Texas in the next couple of weeks.  I'm looking for a place to overnight with a horse in the Emporia, El Dorado, Wichita, Kansas area.  We will be traveling on I35 so would like to stay as close as possible to I35.  I've tried to look online but I'm not having any success. Thanks for your help!

If you are looking for something on the cheap side, Salina sale barn will let you stay for free and will let you put your horses in the stock pens.  We have stopped there a couple of times. Once there were 3 trailers stopped there and once there were 6 other trailers that had pulled in.  It is right on I35.

Salina is on I70, not I35.

We stop at the stock pens (South of KC in the flint hills) when traveling through the area.  Lots of big safe pens to use, plenty of parking and we usually have the place to ourselves.
