Just giving a shout out to the BHW barrel horse ads.  Though I have to sift through some odd situations, I have really had some good experiences with people that respond to my ads.  I don't sell a lot, but when I do I have found some really good homes for horses I treasure and have put a lot of time and effort into.  Anyway, just wanted to express my appreciation.

And also just to let others know that there are good people and good horses on there.  I know there are bad apples in the world that ruin the reputation of selling or buying a horse and it's not all bad.  It can be done in the kindest and fairest manner when you meet the right people.  I have been so lucky as to have met those kind of people.  I wish the same for all.

ETA:  I have bought and sold on BHW.

It's good you have had good experiences. I had a horrible one. A vet from Midlothian sold me a horse that bucked like crazy, after I told her I had back surgery. She told me she had him seven months, and just didn't have time to haul him. I tracked down previous owner, and she had him two weeks when she posted him for sale. She had even called the previous seller and said he was "nasty", but that she could sell him. She did! Let's just say, I learned a lot from that experience.

I'm sorry you went through that.
