Looking for a supplement that works just to take the edge off at shows. My mare focuses way too much on what the crowd is doing and hates clapping, which makes showing in multiple cuts/classes difficult. She's on thia cal daily. Thanks!!

I have tried a lot. The OE compose seems to help him the most. Sullivan's has a product called calf calm or show calm. Give 1/2 tube. This works pretty well too

T.H.E Calming cookies work pretty good on most horses, I use them when I have to get one of my Mini's trimed, hes not to fond of being worked on sometimes so I just give him a cookie and he chills a bit.

I have had great success with this. Doesn't make them a dead head. I've used THE in the past. I prefer this. Most recently used this on the horse in my profile pic as she was on 90 days complete stall rest as a weanling with a ruptured tendon.

I have had good results with THE Total Calm and Focus powder and the cookies. I will give her one scoop of the powder the morning of a race and give a couple of cookies 1 hour prior to a run.

The Sullivans show calf works pretty good, I use it for my track horses, does not test but I use a full tube.  Valley Vet has the best price but most TSC stores carry it.

I don't have any suggestions for suppliments that havn't already been mentioned. But another thing that I would suggest is trying ear plugs, especially since you said the sound of clapping is part of her issues. I've had good luck with the pomms brand.

I have used the poms and they do help, but she won't keep them in. If you have any tips, that would be helpful!!

I have one that nothing works on, unless I just use sedating drugs. I've tried about 15 of them. Also whichever you're trying, if its a daily, make sure you're giving it the full 60-90 days to even take full effect. They're not going to change your horse in a matter of a week or two. Always give any supplement 60 days minimum before evaluating if you like it or not. I would suggest the CEP Gear Down though, I've seen it work best on others I know. You also can just give some ace at shows under the tongue
