So I just recently noticed the back of my saddle comes up during a run, especially while turning the barrel but I zoomed in a slowed down the video and even just running to the first I see it popping up some in the back and I am bouncing as well. Will a back cinch help or is this just my riding? I'm not a professional by any means but I generally have a pretty good seat when I ride at home/loping around etc. so I wouldn't think I would be this terrible when running. If the saddle is popping up is that contributing to my bouncing or is it just me not riding good? I cannot upload a video I never can even get a picture to upload lol. TIA.

Edit: I also just watched a video of me just loping around and zoomed in and the back of the saddle is coming up a little and my butt isn't even leaving the seat so I am leaning towards some of it being my saddle popping up. Thoughts?

Use a back cinch and your problem should be solved.

If your saddle is popping up that much the saddle may not be a good fit. And you may need to learn how to be more balance if you are bouncing.

It doesn't fit perfect, my guy has the high "shark fin" withers so I got a saddle with a bit wider of a gullet and put shims to lift off his withers and fill it in. He is very hard to fit and since I've done this his withers and shoulders are much much better. I do realize it would be better to get a saddle that fits him perfectly but I don't have that money to get multiple saddles to fit each horse perfect. I am sure some people are on the same boat as me. :

Invest in a 5 Star Y Cinch. It really helps to stabilize the saddle better than a regular back cinch as you can snug it up more and its a central pull so keeps your saddle in place, My saddles were lifting in the back on my mare in the turns and i tried different saddles and pads but it didnt change much. I had the cinch suggested to me and now that is all i use when I race, total game changer to me. They`re not cheap but so worth the money.
