Ya'll are complaining about rerides etc. I remember a few years ago when someone drugged Cody Ohl's calf and it came out of the chute and just fell down. Somehow he got a rope on the thing and when he picked it up it could not stand. It was very obvious that the calf was drugged and I think a blood test was run after the rodeo and did confirm that. No one offered to give him a new calf. It cost him the world championship.
I've seen some sloppy steers and calves tripping, hesitating leaving the chute etc etc ... the ropers don't get another shot do they .... its the "luck of the draw" right? Bit odd it's not across the board... I've never heard that story on Cody Ohl ... that's a darn shame especially if there was proof in a blood draw |

I remember that it was in 2013 that happen, I never heard of the calf being drugged and that the blood was drawn to prove it.. I'll ask a friend when I see him this coming week if I can remember, if he knew about that calf being drugged. |

Location: Randolph, Utah | How about Jordan Briggs & Rolo! That horse is so cool & she's a jockey! I'm also loving Stevi & Lemon Drop. I might be wrong but this has to be one of Stevi's best finals! I love that all the events are coming down to a one header. The difference between 1st and 2nd in the dogging is $117!

Thanks for your kind words. I love this program but dang it sure takes a chunk out of my soul. I need help for next years program! Volunteers anyone?
Very cool program. Hailey mentioned it in her interview with the Money Barrel.
I missed that part about the interview with Hailey, I was hoping someone would bring up the Honor Tags
Was the interview during the Tail Gate party?
Hope you are feeling Better Gail, or you planning on going at all to the NFR? I got the NRF on my Bucket list, would love to go at least once just to get the feel of it, but love watching on Cowboy Channel now that they have taking it all on, we get to see so darn much of behind the scenes so to me thats a big plus.
I missed the luncheon and Military Night - darn virus. ( it was not covid!)
Next year we should plan on getting together in Vegas for Military Night!
That would be cool Gail!!!! |

Location: Bastrop, Texas | The highlight for me was the gutsy decision Joe Frost made for the re-ride in the 2nd or 3rd round. At least I think that's the one I'm thinking of! He scored in the 70's and I think only one qualified ride had been made up to that point, with only a few left to ride. He opted for a re-ride even though he'd been guaranteed a decent check at that point. He wound up winning the round, scoring a 90 on his re-ride and picked up $33K because there were only 3 qualified rides. I loved it. |
