| I currently board and we have tack lockers. They aren't very big, any ideas to help keep it more organized? I annoy myself digging for boots and brushes etc. since I just throw everything in there. TIA. | |

Location: Illinois | I have a 4x4 locker for each stall, none have anyhting in them. I have a bridle rack on the door. I had a couple extra yokes for the Hay Chix free-up feeders and I screwed them into the door since my rack is the over the fence kind. So thats hanging there and the bottom half of the door has velcro strips for boots to stick to. I did a closet rod cut in half for saddle pads. Put a nail in each end and then hung chains, you jsut put the nail head on the rod through a link. So you can move them up/down where you want. My saddle sits on a folding stand for now, but I am going to put a wall rack on a 2x6 and nail it to the back wall so the whole floor is free. I have one of those multi-drawer storage containers from walmart I keep odd/ends in like the first aid stuff, extra leather pieces, chicago screws etc. And for bottles I put a chelf up between the studs of the stucture, but you could hang a wall organizer in there for brushes & bottles. The cheap shoe one for closet doors works great. And the other wall opposite the one with shelves I have nails in and hang extra stuff like my surcingle, clipper box, headstalls with no bits, bits with no headstalls, extra reins, etc. And a big damp-rid bucket, everything in there turns very green very fast since its always shut and dark in there

Location: Illinois | You can get the peel & stick carpet squares too if you'd rather do that than velcro. Works great in trailers too
