My husband surprised me with this Julie Goodnight saddle.  My horse needs a wide saddle - which this is what this Circle Y is.  As you can see he is dry on the front half of his back.  Any suggestions on a saddle pad that Spaulding help with this problem.  I have had many custom saddles made for Ringo,  and most fit simular to this one. ??  I am open to any suggestions that might help.  I really love my saddle but I want him to be comfortable.  I really need to try to make this saddle work.  My husband would be so upset if I loose money on another saddle.

Do you have any pictures of your horse tacked up with the saddle, and pictures without the pad. And what type of pad are you using now, how thick is it?

Just FYI, not all dry spots are bad. It's a big misconception. If the dry spots are even on both sides and are the size of your hand or larger, they are fine. Only if the dry spots are uneven , only on one side, or very small and the hair is rubbed is it a problem.
