Has anyone given Regu-mate to a staggy gelding? Did it work?

I guess I'm unsure of what you are trying to eliminate here by giving regumate to a gelding?

He is a gelding that acts like a stud. He has been opened up he is not a crypt. Vet perscribed it, I was just seeing if anyone had had any luck with it.

I have not heard of giving it to a gelding.  How old is he? when was he gelded? What exactly is he doing?

I didn't give my gelding Regumate.   But he was gelded as a 5yo, so he had plenty of hormones left over.  He was a jack-wagon with my mare who came into heat and attacked my other gelding (who was clueless!) and herded her something fierce.

We put him on SmartHarmony by SmartPak.  Worked like a charm!   Liked his attitude so much better on it, that we kept him on it, even after we sold the mare!

Yes and it helps, or helped him.

Thank you! Did you keep him on long term or just awhile?

Until we sold the mare and went back to a barn of geldings.

My vet recommended Regumate for a gelding I had years ago.  I didn't want to fool with it so I tried raspberry leaves, Smart Mare Harmony and MVP Levelor.  All worked to some degree but the MVP Levelor was amazing on him.  I tried it on my mares and it really leveled them out too especially in the spring and gave them more focus.

Yes. had one that was unmanageable without it. Made a world of a difference on him.
